My family and I recently participated in a honey harvest event at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay, and it was an outstanding educational opportunity. We highly recommend this experience and are eagerly looking forward to returning. Following a morning filled with engaging activities and informative demonstrations about honey bees, we explored the Heritage Village at […]

The day started with a cool breeze whisking across the countryside. It was a glorious beginning to Jennifer & Erik’s Hope Glen Farm Wedding. Just outside Minneapolis, Hope Glen Farm is an all-in-one incredible venue in Cottage Grove. Where guests were treated to a champagne pour as they made their way to the ceremony site. […]

Audry started off her wedding day getting ready with her sisters, bridal party members, and some adorable dachshund pups. We had beautiful weather for details, bridal portraits, and bridal party photos before heading to Whistler’s Knoll in Hortonville. The ceremony started in sync with a downpour however, Audry & Roger didn’t miss a beat. Unaffected […]

There’s something timeless and magical about the bond between a grandpa and his grandson. The Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal in Door County, Wisconsin, provides the perfect spot for boat-watching to create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Sitting at the water’s edge, the grandpa shares stories from his childhood boating while watching the boats […]

Door County Branding Session Colorful and creative content creator and actress Rachel Brooks and I spent the day together. We photographed a variety of settings throughout beautiful Door County. This Door County Branding Session was a strategic content batching session for social media. We drove up to the peninsula and spent the whole day hopping […]

Every year, since before I was born my parents have taken me to the tree farm. Since we have continued this tradition with our own little family we have fallen in love with the Wisconsin pine & fir trees. This year we decided to try a new farm, one on the way to my Dad’s house that we have been eyeing all year.

Another HALLOWEEN in the books. Cole has been in love with Nintendo and all the Mario characters for the last year and has been so excited to have the chance to dress up as his favorite pizza loving plumber since last Halloween. I don’t know any other kid that has his costume ideas for the whole family the entire year before, lol.

A few weeks ago Troy’s parent’s also know as Gigi & Poppy visited us and they brought along Grandma Weeks. It was the first time Troy’s Grandma has been able to come visit us here in Wisconsin and we were so glad to have her. The first two days the trio visited we spent our time on a little mini getaway in Door County. We enjoyed shopping our favorite lakeside stores including…..

Their story started innocently enough. Erin & Casey’s sister who was a co-worker were at a mutual friends Wedding when she mentioned that Erin had to meet her brother. She rolled her eyes and laughed, but said sure anyway. The next day he texted her and they went out for drinks 3 days later. Ever since Erin say’s “He’s my best friend and partner in crime.”

It seems like all we are doing during the fall is picking apples. Cole eats so many apples, this kid should never have to worry about liver or skin issues for a lifetime. Our hands down favorite location is the Oneida Nation Apple Orchard.

The last few years we’ve been creating the space in our lives for our own family sessions. We believe in celebrating each stage of our lives and turning them into tangible heirlooms to treasure forever. I am so happy to know in 30 years, Cole may be sitting around the table with his kids showing them how stinking adorable he was at 5….

White walls – having white walls can help in many ways starting with it being a pleasing & clean background in your images. They reflect clean neutral light into the room and onto your skin which is an important element, so we love as much of that as we can get. Let’s be honest not a single person wants puke green walls in their wedding gallery.

I can’t say that I’ve ever done a session that embodied who I am as a person more than this. When Alysce came to me with the idea, and we showed each other our mood boards it was obvious we would pair well together for this project.

Who goes on a picnic to the beach during Winter, Am I right?! The answer is us. Yes, we are indeed strange people. No doubt! Point Beach in Two Rivers is one of our favorite spots to visit on the weekends throughout the year. This park is covered in tall pines, boardwalks, sand dunes, beaches, […]

Blake and Kristy have been together for 9 months and got engaged back in October while on a trip to New York City with their families. They love staying in cooking Pinterest recipes together and love making puzzles together. Date night looks like sushi followed by a movie back home with lots of cuddles. Sounds perfect to me!

Halloween with the Helgeson’s. This year we dressed up as Cole’s favorite characters from The Miraculous Ladybug.

Each winter a magical elf named Pinky makes an appearance and causes mischief in our home. This year was the first time we noticed her more than years past. This winter she was up to no good. Swinging from the lights in the dinning room, unrolling toilet paper in our bathrooms, dumping out cotton balls, and starting a snow ball fight with Cole.

Today felt like a refreshing autumn day despite it being the middle of June. We spent the morning picking Asparagus. I noticed our rose bush had bloomed a surprising number of blossoms this year.
