Here we are celebrating another year of holiday festivities starting with Whispering Pines Tree Farm. If you’ve been following along for awhile you probably know how obsessed I am with tree farms. I have dreamed of having my own tree farm for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, this is another year not living out that dream but Troy did decide to tease me. He found a tree farm listing for an area he knows I won’t move to. I’m married to an ornery man aren’t I though?
Pa pa came along again this year and he and Cole had a wonderful time tree sword fighting. Meanwhile, Troy and I searched high and low for the perfect tree. It was a little gloomy out but we were graced with a small amount of snow during our search. Once we found the right tree to fill our home we headed to the bundling station. Where we watch them shake out the dead needles and bundle our tree up for transport.
After tying the tree up on our suv’s roof, we headed inside for hot cocoa & gingerbread cookies. We enjoyed the tasty treats while browsing around the holiday shop. Each year we purchase one or two ornaments from their shop and retire one from our current collection.
Starting November 26th Santa will be in the workshop and train rides will be available to and from the fields. Whenever anyone asks for a referral to a tree farm we always suggest Whispering Pines because they have the prettiest trees every single year.
