Emily & Clark’s Spring Green rolling hills engagement session was blessed with a glorious sunset. The couple brought their young golden retriever pup along for the engagement photos and we could not have been happier to have her company. Her name is Poppy and she is the sweetest, and as you’ll see she’s the prettiest pup. This Spring Green engagement session location in the Wisconsin driftless region with the rolling hills, fall colors, and golden sunlight was Emily & Clark’s idea. His parents own the property on which we photographed and it turned out to be gorgeous and perfect for their engagement session.
Emily and Clark met while in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia and have traveled the world together exploring new places. Their most recent travels have taken them to Nepal and Tuscany. They now live in Chicago with their adorable puppy Poppy. They love living in Chicago and the fact they are close enough to visit family in Wisconsin on weekends. Enjoying Wisconsin’s greet beer and cheese curds, of course.
Clark proposed at Emily’s family cabin on Lake Michigan in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this past August. Which sounds like the perfect intimate proposal. They celebrated by roasting hot dogs and a Prosecco toast and enjoyed the evening together celebrating their engagement.

Was the sunset for Emily & Clark’s Spring Green engagement photos not just the absolute most gorgeous sunset full of soft beautiful colors? I’m obsessed! It completed everything about this location and the fall colors. I hope to have the opportunity to photograph more engagement photos in Spring Green in the future. Hopefully in the fall again, because you just can’t beat this light!
