On Christmas Eve while laying our heads down to sleep we heard a slight rustling around outside our home. When our security camera alerted me that something was outside our door. I ignored it because we had just let the dog in and sometimes there’s a delayed reaction. I really didn’t think Santa Claus had stopped at our house.
Then after a minute Cole heard jingle bells and another alert came from within our home. So naturally the gun blazing mama bear that I am, I checked my cams while heading downstairs. When to my surprise I saw a chubby old man with a long white beard, red overcoat and glasses. He was standing there holding a sack full of presents. Right in the middle of my dinning room cam Cole set up to catch Santa Claus.
Santa stood there right in front of our eyes
I tiptoed back upstairs and although it took a lot of convincing, I got Cole to follow me. If Cole caught Santa, he thought he would be in trouble. Is my kid the sweetest or what? Nevertheless, we tiptoed our way through the hall. Down the stairs and directly into the dinning room where our Christmas tree was set up. Sure enough there was Father Christmas himself, there in our dinning room. He was placing presents around the Christmas tree. Noming on our gourmet cookies, drinking oat milk (he’s lactose intolerant remember!), and checking out our newest ornaments.
Cole was a nervous wreck and didn’t want to peek around the doorframe. Although, he did want to take a look at the big man in red. So I peeked around and saw watched him quietly. Finally, when Santa was all done it became really quiet for a minute. Did he leave? About that time Cole finally got up the nerve to peek around and take a look for himself. All of a sudden Santa appeared in the doorway. He put a finger to his lips, then waved, and told Cole go back upstairs to bed.
Cole was so surprised by Santa’s actions, that I thought he would cry
Honestly, I thought Cole was going to cry because he’d been caught and was quite surprised by Santa’s actions. But low and behold, he ran upstairs and jumped into bed and fell fast asleep. Not before telling Troy how cool our experience just was. This child, I kid you not glowed and rambled on for about an hour. Until finally, I persuaded him to fall asleep. So he could get up and tell Pa pa all about it what happened and open presents.
Santa Claus stopped at our house, did you find evidence of him at your house?
