Egg Harbor, Door County

After photographing a bunch of Door County family vacations this year, I honestly think every family should have photos taken when the whole family comes together for vacation. That’s precisely what the Trapp family did, and here you have their Egg Harbor Family Portraits. This was a surprise session for Meme, who is the Mother and Grandmother of this crew, and whose birthday and retirement the family was celebrating.

This was an extended family portrait session. So I photographed the whole family and every individual family within the Trapp family, including some of the Grandparents with their Children and their Grandchildren.

The Trapp family loves attending sporting events together and adores going to Door County as a family. Some even traveled all the way up from Arkansas to spend this time together on the Peninsula. The Father and Grandfather of the family have a home on a lake also, so the family loves boating, swimming, and fishing together!

I met with the Trapp family on the Egg Harbor beach for their Door County family photos just before sunset. The gorgeous sunset and lovely beach made the perfect scenery for their photos. That’s all thanks to Caitlyn!! The wonderful daughter-in-law put this session together and suggested the location, as this beach is Meme’s favorite. I can ultimately see why too. A small harbor is off to one side, and a resort is on the other. Both directions are pretty secluded, even though it’s just outside town. But it also gives visual interest, adds to the nautical theme, and there were sailboats in the background. I’m a complete sucker for sailboats.
