Here we are celebrating another year of holiday festivities starting with Whispering Pines Tree Farm. If you’ve been following along for awhile you probably know how obsessed I am with tree farms. I have dreamed of having my own tree farm for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, this is another year not living […]

Just imagine being a kid again and walking into a decked out room just for you to hang out. Filled with cookies & […]

Pikachu for Halloween was Cole’s dream. Yet another Halloween where I obliged Cole with a homemade costume. This year he wanted to be Pikachu so bad. Really he wanted all of us to be Pokemon but the time just was not there to create so many large costumes. Pa pa did his best and created […]

Cole’s school photos in De Pere have taken me three years to pull off. I’ve been trying to find a cute and quick set up for photos for Cole since we started homeschooling 3 years ago. This year I finally had the perfect chance. We borrowed this antique school desk from Troy’s parents and set […]

Our summer vacation to the Badlands started off with some cool August weather which surprised us a bit as we made our way from Wisconsin through Minnesota and into South Dakota. We stayed our first night in a sketchy hotel along the highway that Troy still swears was nice. Thirteen years later we still have […]

Danielle & Troy I’m taking the time today to re-blog this special day, not only because it was our wedding day but today is in fact our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Let me take a minute to let that sink in. I can’t believe it’s already been ten years since we became “The Helgesons,” at our […]

On Christmas Eve while laying our heads down to sleep we heard a slight rustling around outside our home. When our security camera alerted me that something was outside our door. I ignored it because we had just let the dog in and sometimes there’s a delayed reaction. I really didn’t think Santa Claus had […]

The Helgesons Holiday Family Traditions Oconto, Wisconsin We are all about family traditions in our house! And now we have the tree farm with the Helgesons tradition. Every year since the one I was in my Mama’s belly, we have been going to the tree farm. Cut down the perfect tree and pray it doesn’t […]

This Halloween Spiderman is making his neighborhood rounds in Allouez. This year I got lucky and Cole wanted a Spiderman costume he found on Amazon. Thank goodness too because my schedule was swamped and although I like to plan ahead and make time especially for sewing his costume. This year I just didn’t and felt […]

Every 4th of July weekend we head to Wilfert Farms to pick as many strawberries as we can fit in our refrigerator and freezer.

As the evening grew nearer, we headed to the Wave Pointe Marina & Resort to share a sunset sail with our friends aboard Captain Bill Wons sailboat. We enjoyed sipping Island Orchard Cider’s best selection, Pear.

Stepping inside the house transported us back in time. Antique furniture, decor, and artifacts fill the interior, offering a glimpse into life in the late 19th & early 20th century.
By understanding the different stages of the bee life cycle, we can appreciate the complexity and beauty of these creatures. We can also better understand bees’ environmental challenges and how we can help support them.
