Baileys Harbor, Door County

I had the opportunity to spend time photographing the beautiful Aukeman family up in Baileys Harbor on the beach a few weeks ago. Cheryl just remodeled her Door County beach home and it’s incredible, such dream house goals. During their Baileys Harbor family portraits we made sure to get full family portraits as well as break the photos down into individual family groups. So you’ll see a bit of everything here within this special session. Cheryl wanted to get new family photos done while her children were all in town visiting from near and far. I thought this was a glorious way to commemorate this special visit especially with her grandchildren. Aren’t they adorable?

Can you even believe there is such a gorgeous lakeshore here in the Midwest, it beats any ocean shoreline. Honestly, Cheryl has the most incredible viewpoint of Lake Michigan here just off her patio. Nothing but sea grasses, soft sand, and emerald waves. Simply stunning, much like her family! Although we had lots of wind this day, the day also came with a lot of tickling, giggling, love, and laughs. The toddler really enjoyed walking through the water, while his little brother loved getting cheek kisses from his Mama. These two little boys were such a joy! I’m so glad we had such a wonderful day to photograph these Door County family photos for Cheryl to display in her newly remodeled home.
