Audry & Roger’s winter Barkhausen Engagement Session almost had no snow at all. Who would have thought in the middle of February that we wouldn’t have snow in Wisconsin. We laugh now that it’s been a few weeks later and they received snow in Tennessee where they live. What is this world now? With the grace of Mother Nature, we had some snow fall two days before and it was just enough in all the right places.
Audry had her heart set on a snow covered pine tree filled engagement session here in Wisconsin were she and Roger met. They now live in Tennessee with their three pups and visit the Northwoods as often as possible to fish.
We started their session in Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve along a beautiful stretch of one of the many hiking trails there. Our second location was a slippery walk down to the waterfall at Wequiock Falls where the backdrop is undeniably worth every minute of wobbly walking down to it. We finished our session with a walk out onto the unworldly looking iced over Lake Michigan to catch the insanely gorgeous sunset.
Roger proposed to Audry in St. Louis three years after their first spontaneous trip to see The Arch. Audry says when Roger got down on one knee she said “yes,” before he even could ask.
