Nothing bets a Soulard Engagement Session at sunset on an autumn evening the night before your Wedding Day. And Eric & Kate chose to spend it with us, we’re so glad that they did. This romantic couple selected the Historic Soulard District in St. Louis for their Engagement Session. We took a stroll through the farmer’s market and along the sidewalks viewing the historic homes that fill the area.

Such a fun way to spend the big night before their big celebration, relaxing and loving on each other before the festivities began. Eric and Kate were not nervous at all, we just walked around Soulard documenting their love before heading over to their Rehearsal Dinner at The 9th Street Abbey. The 9th Street Abbey will be their venue for tomorrow’s big day and it couldn’t be more beautiful in the autumn!

It was such a pleasure getting to know Kate & Eric. Two of the sweetest people we’ve met. Clearly made for each other, these two kind hearts made each other smile constantly. I personally think this Soulard Engagement Session was worth the wait and they will be pros in front of the camera tomorrow.

Planning a trip to St. Louis??

If you happen to find yourself in St. Louis and would love the experience of a real city farmer’s market, Soulard is the best! Of course, I am from St. Louis so I may be biased and all. When my mom and I would go to the market it was just her and I, and we took our time walking through the rows and stopping into each shop. As a matter of fact, I can still smell the spice shop every single time I open my pantry.

Check out more about the Historic Soulard Market and experience all that St. Louis has to offer. Most importantly, while you’re at the market purchase a jar of Goose Poop for yourself and then eat it together with tortilla chips and cream cheese. Secondly, you’ll want to buy yourself at least three jars, because you will be left wanting more. In addition to the Goose poop, you’ll want to try the largest spring rolls I’ve ever seen. Lastly, right across from the spring rolls are the best donuts ever! Now go on and plan your trip to St. Louis, I have plenty of advice on where to stay and what to do. Never plan a trip to St. Louis based on trip advisor or non St. Louis native, there is heaps of bad suggestions. I won’t lead you astray!
