Chris & Brittyni wanted a natural setting for their romantic De Pere engagement complete with pup & picnic. I believe the lake and preserve like features on the outskirts of town highlighted this sweet couple. It really brought on a sense of intimacy that only nature can provide.

When we first met up with Chris & Brittyni we started off by gifting them our signature welcome basket. Filled with items they could enjoy together for a romantic evening at home together. We absolutely were knocked off our feet when ended up bringing almost identical blankets, baskets, wine, & flowers as these two. Right from the start it was obvious. This was going to be a dreamy session and we are a perfect match to document their story.

Their story started with one set of twins

Brittyni is a professional figure skater and coaches one half of a set of twins. Meanwhile, Chris is a professional drummer and provides private lessons to the other half of the same set of twins. The twins’ Mother spoke highly of Brittyni to Chris and vice versus and it was decided they needed to meet. The two connected on Facebook and set a date for the next day. On their first date, they went for sushi and hit it off immediately. They spent the entire evening talking. I’d say the Mother of the twins knows a thing or two, think she might start a dating service soon? hah. Because these two are smitten with each other and seem to fit so well into each others lives and heart.

Chris & Brittyni both enjoy being active and love hiking, rollerblading, camping, kayaking, and traveling. Speaking of traveling, they have been to four continents and eleven countries together. On their annual trip abroad in 2018, Chris proposed on an overlook. The colorful village of Vernazza in the background. He had hide a mini ring box in his sock and throughout their entire hike. While meandering through the cliffs and valleys along the Ligurian Sea, Chris searched for the perfect location. He went ahead set up a camera and switched it to video. Then suggested to Brittyni that they take a “photo” with Vernazza in the background. She turned around and he was already down on one knee. He softly took her hand and asked her to be his wife! Cue, happy tears and a massive hug. I watched the video and cried, it was so touching.

Now as an engaged couple they love taking their adorable schnoodle Buddy for walks. Especially, at Voyager Park which is Buddy’s favorite place. Which is why we ended our time together with a stroll through the park. Where Chris & Brittyni loved on their sweet pup. And Troy became Buddy’s new best friend, also known as the treat hander outer. lol.
