Picking Apples at Hillside Farms with Poppy & Gigi in Casco

Cole’s Gigi & Poppy came to visit us and we spent some time picking out the best pumpkins and munching on some apples. Hillside Apple Farm has a great assortment of pumpkins and varieties of pumpkins to choose from. We found out Wisconsin pumpkins are much cheaper than Missouri ones. One pumpkin in Missouri cost the same as all 4 pumpkins we bought here. Win!!! After finding the most unique pumpkins we ventured to Point Beach and walked the shore finding gemstones and playing in the sand.

Their second day visiting we introduced them to one of our favorite breakfast spots downtown, White Dog Black Cat Cafe. Don’t you know it Poppy and I both enjoyed some meal sized Bloody Mary’s.

Later we ventured to Door County and found ourselves at Cave Point another favorite spot of ours. We showed Gigi where her crazy son, Troy’s brother Nate took a leap off the cliff into the cold and wild Lake Michigan when he visited with us earlier this past summer. Afterward, we headed to Door County Brewery and enjoyed some bored games and good craft brews to end our day.

Cole loves when his Grandparents come and visit and hates to see them go. We hope they had as good of time as we did and can’t wait for their next visit.
