As a mother, there’s nothing better than spending quality time with my son while doing something we both enjoy. This Mother’s Day weekend, my son and I decided to go see the cherry blossoms in Door County, Wisconsin. We wanted to document our time spent in the orchard by taking some photos together.

We woke early to catch the beautiful sunrise glow on the cherry blossoms. The air was crisp and cool, and the fresh scent of the blooming flowers filled our noses. We found the perfect spot in the cherry orchard at Lautenbach’s and started photographing the beautiful white blooms.

As we snapped away, we talked about the beauty of nature and the importance of preserving it. We also discussed different aspects of photography, such as angles, lighting, and composition. I’ve been teaching my son a little about photography, any chance I get that he’s interested in listening to me.

It was a great opportunity for my son and I to bond over our love of photography and nature.

The cherry blossom photo shoot was a great opportunity for my son and I to bond over our love of photography and nature. We created beautiful memories and stunning photos that we’ll cherish for years to come.

After our photo shoot, we decided to explore the charming town of Sturgeon Bay, where we found a cozy spot on our favorite beach and enjoyed a charcuterie board and lemonade. We sat in the sand, enjoying the warm sun and chatting about our favorite photos from the morning. You can see our Sturgeon Bay Beach Picnic photos on one of our latest posts.

Overall, our Mother’s Day weekend cherry blossom photo shoot in Door County was a perfect way to spend time together and appreciate the beauty of nature. I feel grateful to have such a wonderful son and to be able to share these moments with him.
