Ashley & Matt picked Portage Park as their engagement session location after seeing it on Andrea & Phillips’s Engagement Session. They’ve passed it many times riding to the Sturgeon Bay Lighthouse & Canal while visiting a friends lake house. They wanted a natural setting with beach vibes for their light-hearted, fun, and classic engagement photos. It ended up being a beautiful evening and we practically had the whole beach to ourselves. Ashley and Matt are so sweet and you could feel the nerves of their upcoming wedding, in two whole days!! Although the nerves were high, they didn’t show it one bit and looked like total models.
Ashley & Matt were neighbors growing up and connected during high school. During their annual fall date at a pumpkin patch Matt asked Ashley to be his wife and spend the rest of their lives spending time outdoors with their family dogs. Going up north to St. Germain, Wisconsin which is one of their favorite places to go together. And eating lots of spaghetti, pizza, Cinnabon, and drinking margaritas.
