A few weeks ago Troy’s parent’s also know as Gigi & Poppy visited us and they brought along Grandma Weeks. It was the first time Troy’s Grandma has been able to come visit us here in Wisconsin and we were so glad to have her. The first two days the trio visited we spent our time on a little mini getaway in Door County. We enjoyed shopping our favorite lakeside stores including the Tannenbaum Holiday Shop , which has been my favorite place to go the last few years nearing the Holiday season. We had a delightful hard cider tasting at Island Orchard Cider, pear was across the board everyone’s favorite. Then we spent one of our evenings at the Rowley Bay Resort for a fish boil followed by swimming and some checkers with Gigi & Poppy in front of the crackling stone fireplace. The third day we headed home and stopped by a few farm markets and grabbed up some adorable pumpkins, delicious cherry salsa, jalapeño jam (where my spice lovers at?), and of course some Wisconsin cheese. Below is a few highlights from our weekend. I’m trying to be a bit more present these days so I’m reluctant to take out my camera as much as I used to, but I think these capture our time together well.
