Four years ago this past April, we moved here from Missouri. We had called Missouri home for our entire relationship until this far and was where Cole and I had been born. Troy and I, individually have lived in a multitude of places but I’ll save that story for another time. Anyhow, it took my Mother this long to come visit us. We were so glad she finally made it. I’m totally not bitter she visited my sister first. I’m kidding!! Sorta!
Cole was looking forward to sharing all his favorite places with his Grandma and taking her to Lambeau to do the Lambeau Leap and show her the new Titletown Park along with trucking her along to every Door County spot we hang out at regularly.
Firstly, we stopped in at Cave Point for a brief walk along the bluff. On our way up the Peninsula to Rowley’s Bay Resort for a traditional Wisconsin Fish Boil we stopped to show her PC Junction, a kid Door County must see. Then topped off the evening with a walk through Fish Creek, some dairy free sorbet from Grumpy’s (thank you Grumpy’s for making my little man happy and catering at least one flavor to the belly sensitive folks) and watching the sun set at Sunset Beach Park. We hope her trip was good up here, she hadn’t been to Wisconsin since visiting for Pow Wow’s in her teens.
What did we miss and should put on our list for sharing with her on her next trip up?
